I owned a sailing yacht for several years, and grew to love the ocean, the atmosphere, and the fun of owning (and living aboard) a yacht. I hope that, through this website, I can help you enjoy the great sport of yachting, too!
I'm not going to give you a complete encyclopedia of everything about yachts & yachting; we'll be here forever! I hope to give you some of the basics about the different types of yachts, a little history thereof, things about actually sailing & safety while doing it, and anything else that strikes my fancy. Plus, I hope you actually enjoy reading this site; I really love yachts & yachting, & I'm so tired of all the L-7 websites about it! They're so boring!!
(By the way - I have a cat who, as most cats do, think he owns & runs everything, including me. To make matters worse, he lived on my yacht with me, so he also thinks he is literally the "captain" of all he surveys [just means he's a normal, ordinary cat]. I'm trying to keep him away from this site; but, if he escapes his "lockdown", who knows what he'll do....SHHH....)
FYI: this site will be under constant construction for quite awhile as I fancy my fancy, adding, deleting, & whatever new stuff, so please come back often - there'll always be more!
